Ronnie O’Sullivan this name itself contains a lot of proud in its own and among the snooker world.
Let’s have a discussion about his LIFE.
The rocket was born on 5th of December 1975.
Haha! That’s enough for the LIFE.
Starting off with the achievements he made in his early days like: Have you ever thought of a boy could make a century break at his age of 10 & maximum break at the age of 15.
Yes, we are talking about Ronnie here.
Why he is called ‘The Rocket’?
Turning pro at the age of 16 and the way he plays rapidly. Ronnie made the fastest break in just 5 minutes and 20 seconds.
MC Alan Hughes first gave him the nickname "The Rocket".
Early Achievements:
Ronnie won the 1993 UK Championship his first major professional winning at the age of 17.
- Youngest player to achieve this title at such age.
The Rocket won his first Master's title at the age of 19 in 1995.
First Professional Title & Debut in the Crucible
In his debut season, he cleared out 74 of 76 qualifying matches. What a man!!
This includes 38 successive winning streak victories and this record was previously held by Stephen Hendry and a record quick victory, winning a best-of-9-frame match in 43 minutes to beat Tony Drago's previous record.
If I start to discuss this thing in more lines then this article or write-up would feel like a storytelling.
I’m not Wikipedia.
Let’s get it quick by not making it boring!
1993/1994 Season - Historic UK Championship and British Open titles, Masters debut.

I’ve not missed the year here but there was not any title or a big win.

2004/2005 season: second Masters title
2006/2007 season: third Masters title

2016/2017 season: UK Championship runner-up and record seventh Masters title
2017/2018 season: record-equalling sixth UK Championship title, English Open and Shanghai Masters titles
WOWW!! There’s no stopping this man. Be it World Titles, Century Break, Cleverness in his playing style.
Ronnie could play with both right hands and left hand easily. He has also faced some problem due to his ability to play with his left hand so perfect. What I observed in his games is that he likes to attack, not giving another chance to the opponent.
Talking about Century Break
According to me, he plays for the century break. Haha! That was a bad joke I think.
Ronnie O’Sullivan is currently holding the record for most no. of century breaks which are 920.
I can be wrong with the stats*
He will reach the record of 1000 century break before his retirement or in short we are going to witness the magic this year.
Now, this is something interesting about our Rocket. He wrote a crime novel named Framed published in the year 2016. It is not an autobiography but contains the experience and family.
Personal Life of the Rocket
I’m not going to discuss his personal life here. Everyone has seen ups & downs in his/her life.
Things to be kept in mind if you are a Ronnie Fan
- Mario Catalano, famous women snooker player are the cousin of our Ronnie. She’s been ranked no. one in the women’s game.
- Do I have any Arsenal fan here? Ronnie O’Sullivan is a supporter of Arsenal Team.
